Chris Ciulla is available for private training, boxing training, and group
training sessions in the Los Angeles area, and periodically at other
locations across the country.
CHRIS CIULLA

Chris has been a boxing fanatic for nearly his entire life, since the days
when he and his father Leo would sit on their small couch in their living
room in Everett, a surrounding community in the Boston area, and watch
Marvelous Marvin Hagler pound Vito Antofuermo’s face into a bloody pulp.

Although he knew he didn’t have the talent to do well as an amateur, he
stayed involved in the sport of boxing, learning the sweet science while
training beside the likes of brother-in-law Cruiserweight contender
Richie “The Mountain” Lamontagne and good friend and Middleweight
contender “Dangerous” Dana Rosenblatt.  On one occasion, he was
able to work Richie’s corner along side legendary trainer Goody
Petronelli, which he considers one of the true highlights of his life.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2002, Chris entered a few “smoker
fights”, which are unsanctioned amateur bouts.  Again, he learned that
he still didn’t have the talent necessary to win at the highest levels.  So
he became the best recreational boxing trainer he could, and has trained
such celebrities as Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls), Sam Rockwell
(Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) and Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire
Slayer).  And his true skill lies in the sport-specific training of athletes.
He relishes when he gets the opportunity to develop boxers into better
athletes, which always translates into more success in the ring.

Chris then started to do periodical guest spots on Chris Strait’s boxing
talk show “Strait-Up Sports”.  And the chemistry between the two was
undeniable.  Strait the “Encyclopedia of Boxing”, Ciulla the
“Uncontrollable Soundboard”.  And so Stick and Move with Chris and
Chris was born, delving into the unfiltered world of boxing – past,
present, and future.
